Sun Seekers – 2025 Summer cruises from Spear Travels

New Summer 2026 Cruises

Wonderful new Fred. Olsen cruises including the total eclipse of the sun in Iceland now available to book. Set a course for Spear Travels in Thame to discover more.

Heading the list of highlights from red. Olsen Cruise Lines’ new Summer 2026 itineraries are three very special sailings timed for August’s total eclipse of the Sun. Balmoral and Bolette will head to explore Iceland, which will provide the most dramatic experience at this time of year with its whales, waterfalls and geysers, plus it’s the place where the sun will cover the moon for the longest period, offering extended totality. Meanwhile, Borealis will discover the old towns and promenades of Spain, where the path of totality will offer a full eclipse before the sun sets.

Their Norwegian Fjords Sailings have been special timed for May and June when water from melting ice caps means that the flow of the waterfalls is at its strongest point in the year. Balmoral is even small enough to access the size-restricted Akrafjord and show you the Langfoss Waterfall tumbling down the mountainside.

Take advantage of Balmoral’s smaller size in France in 2026 with experiences – such as scenic cruising the River Seine to Rouen and docking in the heart of UNESCO-listed Bordeaux – that are only possible on smaller ships.

For adventures closer to home, their British Isles cruises visit the region at the very best time, presenting summertime views of remote isles and rugged coastlines. With each voyage, guests can immerse themselves in rich history, taking in ancient sites and traditions that have stood the test of time. There are also explorations of Ireland which provide the perfect blend of nature and culture, with opportunities to experience the local way of life, from dancing to distilleries, as well as view iconic landmarks such as the Cliffs of Moher during scenic cruising between ports.

In the Baltic region, new itineraries have been crafted to feature iconic cities like Tallinn that are renowned for their beautiful architecture and old towns, together with lesser-known gems such as Klaipeda and Saaremaa, allowing for a deeper discovery of the region’s rich history and culture.

Finally, for a shorter but just as rewarding escape, their five-night cruises have been timed for UK Bank Holidays, so you can get away without needing to take too much time out of your schedule. These shorter sailings offer the perfect first taste of the Fred. Olsen experience, combining enriching destination experiences, memorable scenic cruising and our renowned warm and friendly on-board atmosphere.
