AB Golf was established by Adam Bishop in 2001 when he took over the running of Southfield Golf Range between Thame and Long Crendon. Adam had worked for Petron during the 1980’s, a company that had opened the first state of the art indoor fitting centre for golf equipment.
This inspired Adam to set up the same expert fitting service and rebranded the venue to AB Golf Performance Centre. Now offering tuition, custom fitting and club repairs AB Golf has everything to make you perform to your full potential.
AB Golf Professionals have been trained to custom fit every major brand in golf such as Taylormade, Callaway, Ping, Titleist, PXG, Honma, Mizuno, Cobra, XXIO, Srixon, Cleveland, Scotty Cameron, Odyssey and Bettinardi. The shop also stocks clubs, bags, trolleys, shoes, clothing tees, balls, and so on.
The Golf Shop is also the location of a Putting Performance Studio where you can hone your skills under expert tuition and try a range of different putters.
For Adam and his experienced team it’s more about fitting clubs to the person, not the brand and giving honest advice on which clubs will work best for you.
Adam has now established Golf Shops at Studley Wood, North Oxford and Whiteleaf Golf Clubs.
AB Golf are now one of the leading custom golf club fitters in the UK, using the very latest technology to provide the ultimate fitting experience.
They have a specially fitted bay on the range, where they can monitor your swing using Trackman and GC2 Launch Monitors.
In April this year, AB Golf installed the amazing Toptracer range technology. This globally popular launch monitor and gaming software captures all shots that are hit on a driving range and provides you with accurate ball flight data and instant tracking statistics through a 21 inch touch screen monitor. If you’ve been to Top Golf in Watford the same technology is now right on your doorstep!
This means that you can now analyse your game on your own terms, tracking performance over months, even years while also having a lot of fun.
Toptracer technology provides detailed analysis of your accuracy, trajectory, ball speed and distance, and is a feature of all 12 bays of the range. There are various game modes including target points game, longest drive, nearest the pin and playing a round of golf at courses such as St Andrews and Pebble Beach!
