From India to Lebanon, from Thame to Haddenham
The House of Spice has long been serving Thame and Haddenham with delicious eastern dishes. Now, as Andrew Mitchell reports, the menu is even more mouth-wateringly enticing.
It was back in 1983 that House of Spice first opened its doors on Thame High Street. Since then it has been delighting palates with its gorgeous curries. Be it a take out or a table in the 80-cover restaurant.Such was the success of Thame’s House of Spice, that another restaurant opened in Haddenham in 2000 and to equal acclaim from customers. The Sunday banquet has proven especially popular. (Rumours, though, that Haddenham’s House of Spice is closing are light years far wide of the mark – there will always be a House of Spice in Haddenham).
